At UVU, we developed a 45-item survey to measure student perceptions of engagement at the course level. Specifically, it focuses on curriculum and community engagement, comprising the following measured factors: Active and Collaborative Learning, Tools, Context, Theory and Knowledge, Application and Skills, Content, Client Interaction, and Community Involvement. Utilizing the survey results, our project focuses on examining the impact of faculty training in Global Diversity and Intercultural (GI) competencies on student engagement and positive outcomes.
