The project used data from the college's data warehouse, the National Student Clearinghouse, and the Kentucky Department of Education's High School Report Cards. These data were disaggregated by race and gender. Findings include:
Males outperform females significantly in the College's technical courses.
Non-URM students outperform URM students significantly in the College's General Education courses, but the URM demographic outperformed in the College's technical programs.
The goal of this project is to give the College a better understanding of the current disaggregated demographics of our high school dual-credit population. The team will focus on total enrollment in the dual-credit program, emphasizing URD success rates in dual-credit courses and matriculation rates of students transitioning from high school to college.
Implementation of this project led to the following plans for scaling and sustaining the work:
Work with Academic Affairs and Advising so that all Dual Credit student groups receive any necessary assistance from the College's academic support programs.
